From Creation to Calling Victoria’s Journey into Environmental Stewardship Through Faith
For as long as she can remember, Victoria Spadaro has felt a deep connection to the natural world. Growing up in Upstate New York, she was surrounded by forests, wildlife, and changing seasons that quietly pointed to something greater than herself. But some of her earliest and most meaningful memories come from the ocean. Every summer, her family would visit the Jersey Shore, where her love for the ocean first began. The sound of the waves, the vastness of the water, and the life within it captured her attention in a way nothing else could. She did not have the words for it at the time, but she now understands that she was witnessing the beauty of God’s creation, intentional, intricate, and alive with purpose.
Her passion for the environment only grew stronger over time. She pursued a degree in Environmental Studies at Siena College, where she was honored to receive the Major Field Award. She then continued her education at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School, earning her Master of Professional Science in Marine Conservation. Her journey took her from local wildlife preserves, shark tagging trips to aquaculture research labs, and even to educating thousands of guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom about conservation. Each experience deepened her love for the environment and strengthened her commitment to protecting it.
Throughout her journey, one of her greatest inspirations has been Steve Irwin. His passion, energy, and dedication to wildlife showed her that caring for the Earth could be both powerful and joyful. He did not just study animals, he loved them, advocated for them, and inspired millions to do the same. That spirit has stayed with her throughout her own path.
While her passion for environmental stewardship was growing, her faith journey was still unfolding.
Victoria grew up Christian, knowing who God was, but it was not until her college years that she truly returned to Jesus. As she studied ecosystems, biodiversity, and conservation science, she began to see something deeper. Creation was not random. It was designed. Every ocean current, every species interaction, and every ecosystem pointed back to a Creator.
That realization changed everything.
She began to understand that her love for the environment and her faith were never meant to be separate. God did not just create the Earth, He entrusted it to humanity. Stewardship became more than a career path, it became a calling. Caring for the environment was no longer just scientific work, it became an act of worship.
This is where Kingdom Currents was born.
What started as a simple dream, one she truly believes God placed on her heart, is now becoming a reality. Kingdom Currents is more than an initiative, it is a mission to bring together faith and environmental stewardship. Through biblical education, outreach, and storytelling, she hopes to inspire others to see the Earth the way God intended, as something to care for, protect, and cherish.
She wants future generations to know that science and faith are not at odds. Instead, they beautifully complement one another. It is possible to study marine conservation while believing in a Creator. It is possible to love ecosystems while loving the God who designed them.
Faith Flows is a space where those two worlds come together.
And this is just the beginning.
